Why would anyone with HALF a brain want to read something they find boring ?

Nice response from Richard.

the only thing I think needs to be taught more that beginners seem to forget is to let go.
(assuming they have a modern depower kite)
for some reason some cant seem to do that until it's too late.
Try not having kite at zenith in a really windy day on slippery mud sand. You will be singing a different tune for sure.

Or on the ice, GungaDin. Even though I haven't QR'd in years, I HAVE let go of the bar completely several times, sometimes when launching. I guess that's why I haven't QR'd--I let go of the bar before it's needed, and the "big problem" never happens.

YET. Because SO FAR, letting "...go of the bar completely..." has always worked.
