I like it but maybe just a little longer. I like the way the secondary safety release is right next to the first one. No way to forget where it is.

I personally like to self launch and I'm always reaching for the leash attachment before the chicken loop. It's just easier for me if the leash is an arms length.

I do hate those supper long leashes that bang all over the place while your riding.

Nice!
I was doing this for a while when I was able to link two short ends from my leash collection together.
It did get in the way of my solo launching with carabiner technique...but much nicer than the umbilical chord hanging around. I do wonder if it impacts the additional depower afforded by the long umbilical. I did see mini leashes in a shop - I'm pretty sure Best made them...

Also Core kites come with a micro leash, they say it's safer if you don't unhook because it's frontal. IMO, better to fix it not close to hook but at one side of the harness bar, so if you're pulled face down on the beach you can reach it anyway. Core kites also sell an optional long leash for unhooking.

IMO Core has the best safety leash at the moment:

Hang on - you have to pull against the kite to release the leash? I think a better design would be the other way around - clip to the harness, loop on the bar safety line (no clip through your hands!), then pull away from your body to release... that way, you can always release the leash, even if there's no tension in the kite...
