but I would have thought that the idea of getting rid of a clip is to avoid getting it jammed in your body... may as well ditch both of them
When you push away as shown by the arrow....the kite gets away from you completely...as line slips from clip...
.... the metal clip stays attached to the leash line ring below the bar
Had to let go like that once in marginal LW conditions and 5ft waves...early during a session...
.......got a freak lull of 4kn for a few seconds.....kite went down....did not want my 19m2 to get destroyed
Of course i twisted the QR first then immediately pushed way Core release and separated all from me
Kite went in nicely to shore....no damage...re-set everything and went back out
Luckily wind stayed around 8-9 kn for the rest of the late afternoon.....kite was dry an hour later when done
I have mine attached on left side of harness with the XR3
With the XR2 it was on the right side
I attach on the harness side opposite of the CL donkey stick side
Easier access to put on and off manually...on the leash ring
