Nice!

I don't need a clip for the harness side. I just leave the leash attached to the harness.

There is one feature missing form this leash that I like about the North leash (and probably others). North has a neoprene/elastic piece that slides up over the clip to keep it from accidentally hooking on you lines, chicken loop, body parts etc.

Kami- This is a push away leash pictured. The loop permanently attaches to your harness and the clip attaches to the leash line below the bar.

I like the micro leashes posted above.

For those too lazy to make one, here is a quick way to improve what you have.

At 0:07, it looks like your leash is attached to your back ; or
did it get wrapped around you in the maneuver ?
Is that an optical illusion ; are you being drug on your back the
entire time , there's too much spray to tell ?

That makes sense :D but I would have thought that the idea of getting rid of a clip is to avoid getting it jammed in your body... may as well ditch both of them ;)

Glad to see these short leashes showing up. Seem to remeber an earlier thread highlighting danger of snap shackles without covers - so i would strongly recommend sleeved shackles & checking you pull it over the shackle when attaching

When you push away as shown by the arrow....the kite gets away from you completely...as line slips from clip...
.... the metal clip stays attached to the leash line ring below the bar

Had to let go like that once in marginal LW conditions and 5ft waves...early during a session...
.......got a freak lull of 4kn for a few seconds.....kite went down....did not want my 19m2 to get destroyed

Of course i twisted the QR first then immediately pushed way Core release and separated all from me

Kite went in nicely to shore....no damage...re-set everything and went back out
Luckily wind stayed around 8-9 kn for the rest of the late afternoon.....kite was dry an hour later when done

I have mine attached on left side of harness with the XR3
With the XR2 it was on the right side
I attach on the harness side opposite of the CL donkey stick side
Easier access to put on and off manually...on the leash ring

that video is a great example of what happens when you are leashed suicide/depower style, with your leash attached to the back of the harness, and get a simple outside line tangle on the bar. it is hard to deal with.

leashed to the leash line/disable point that wouldnt happen, leashed to the side of the harness she would have been able to release the leash easier.
