What is the earliest planing (and staying upwind)140-150cm wake out there? I want to get away from a directional and want to use a 14 - 16m kite in 10knots? any suggestions???

The FD is not Underground’s lightest wind board. The 148 SB is their light wind machine (43cm wide). Unless you are a light weight rider, you should consider the SB for 10 knots.

Underground is also telling buyers to consider the 157 WT (39cm wide) for light winds. They say it’s a light wind machine. Underground say’s it has the SB rocker and water line length, with the flipped tips added. I was told by a guy who owned both the 148 SB and 157 WT, the SB will still get him going in less wind.

I own the SB and use it with my 22.5 Rhino, or when I’m under powered with my 16 Rhino. I find it adds about 2-3 knots of wind, to the power of the kite.

Last week I received my new custom 157 WT, built wider than standard (42cm wide). I did this to get similar power to what my SB gave me. I am selling my SB now. The WT’s are a lot more fun in waves or chop.
