I do have a Naish Global in Mui Ne I like to ride and I also like the toeside rolls with it. I have done the downloop with backroll. Great feeling and not so much pull as if you kitelooped it.
Great .......so you do the backroll on surfboard from heelside and from toeside with downloop
How about a toeside forward downloop...essentially a 540 rotation that you land heeside
That one is a great feeling also with no line twist
Thanks for sharing
That sounds interesting! Never tried a front roll from toeside to heelside. Just booked my ticket to Mui Ne. I'll have lots of time to practice after Nov.13th. I prefer to see your vid of it Might help me.
@g00se
Thats my old 2011 Dakine Pyro pro harness. I've since handed that one down to my son and I'm using the 2013 Mystic warrior (len ten) now. I like it much better, especially the clicker bar is nice unless you happen to think it clicked and it didnt It also does not need the downstrap and holds the spreader bar quite firm (wont fold up into the stomach)
With my build I have a hard time finding a harness that wont rotate around me too much but after they break in all of em rotate around me. Its good for toeside and surfing but not necessary I find, just a little more comfortable.
Ok, lets see another clip. I know you guys got em.

Yes it is fun
After first rotation (360)..pull front hand in and downloop kite..for additional 180...
...to heelside..........plane away on other tack...with no twist in lines
You must have done it from heelside to toeside i presume...same exact move..540 forward DNloop
Practice with simple toeside to toeside forwards landing on same tack .... really feels great
I have no video...sorry...but i sure enjoy all those on strap surfboards
How about a simple heelside take-off table-top downloop to toeside air jibe
Also try a toeside take-off table-top downloop to heelside air jibe
On those last 2 go really high in the jumps....the higher..the better it feels...and really tweak it
Hey guys! You might have already seen these videos, I posted them along with a brief review on the dice about a week ago. Anyways, here are my riding styles...

This one was about a week into learning toeside backrolls in Mui Ne, Vietnam last year.

Whoa! That got the blood pumping! Nice shots and editing. I was really hoping to see the landing from the darkslide on land. Hope to surf with you sometime. Got skillz bro!
Yup, Dimitri, your my hero! Lost interest in the first video when you started advertising but I watched the second (again) of you and your boy. Awesome, really. Something to be proud of for the rest of your days. I wish I had more time with my boy to kite like that. Good dad! Rock it!

Sorry flybykite, I meant to post this video bellow instead of the EPIC intro. And yes its the best feeling sharing your passion with your kid. It's hard to explain but as a father I think you know what I mean.
Nice one! Love those Edges! So it IS possible to unhook and handle pass with the edge! Your vid makes me want to try snow kiting but I still dodge cold weather at all costs. I like the time laps, and I had always wondered if snowkiters could go uphill. Thanks for sharing!
