Low split bar on high split kite - Cons?

If a low split (V) bar is used on a kite that is designed to be flown with a high split (Y) bar, does this really affect the flying qualities? How and why?
Assumption: the kite is pumped up HARD.

The conclusion that I'm leaning towards is that high- and low-splits are a result of design decisions about the bar and safety systems, not the design of the kite itself. There probably is a difference in how it flies though...

All I know is Torch on 5th Element bar doesn't fly like a Torch should. Tips flare, not as stable.

Something to keep in mind -The split is affected when using line extensions. I think most ppl overlook this but i noticed weird flying with my kahoona +3m extensions

for what I've tried with different kites, kites born for low Y could go with a high Y but not the opposite

in Kites designed with the high Y, the two frontlines work in keeping the arch of the kite in right shape. with low Y the tips result too open and the kite could fly bad. I've seen this in a Bandit4 11m, with low Y fly bad. slow and too much bacstall (even playing with front/back length).

doing the opposite (kites born with low Y run with high Y bar) leads to more turnning power, bit less pull and more depower (tried various Ozone with Takoon bar, as a friend of mine uses)

pus high and low Y have different "apparent" line lengths with the same actual lines,
so front to back lines may need adjustment or proper trim

I don't think small kites (10m or smaller) are affected much by the Y split either way. You get about 3 or 4 pounds pressure pushing in in on a on a high split and 1 or 2 pounds pressure on a V and a small kite can keep its shape either way. Larger and high aspect kites can fly funny on the wrong bar because the wingtips will either flare out or in.

A lot depends on the kiter. Some kiters don't notice the difference in performance or aren't bothered by it. Others are more finicky and are highly annoyed when a kite doesn't power through a turn correctly.

How do you know this? Have you tried a lot of different kites with different bars and what gauges did you use to measure the forces????

I have used a lot of bars but the force is not measured it was calculated. it's a simple calc just trig

well i have had the same experience as JGTR,
my torch`s 2010 and 2013 do not fly well on my 2012 vegas bar, the tips flare no matter how much you tinker with line lenghts
for the record my 2010 vegas will fly on the 2010 naish shift bar
