I have had great experience with the Airblast 8.4 and the Takoon 11.5. These kites will take you way up. Someone had started a post on "how high is high enough?" These two kites will take you there and beyond. I absolutely love going out when it is blow 25-30 mph with a nice swell. I time my jumps to lift me at the peak of the swell/chop. I find it allows me to edge just a little longer. Don't know how high I go for sure. The other day I was out on the Skoop 2 and had some windsurfing buddies comment on the repeated 40 footers. All I can tell is that I'm way up there, and I love it. Hell of a view, looking down on my windsurfing buds. These kites will take you way up. I believe that the Airblast holds the hangtime record.

Some kites will give you incredible height without the hang time, and others give you hang time without the same height. However, the R2 seems to give me both - the biggest, longest jumps I have ever done. Just watching a group of kiters on the water and you can see them (those on the R2) jumping higher and longer without being incredibly overpowered.

Depends on what you want, height or hangtime. For tricks it's all about hangtime.....
Small kites generally speaking give you the height but not the hangtim whereas the big mummas may give you less height but the hangtime is impressive.
If you really want an out and out jumping machine then maybe try something designed just for jumps.... like the Naish X10.
On the subject of Airblasts... yes they jump really well and I've also heard that they hold the world record for hangtime (11 secs or something like that??). You can use a big airblast in quite a lot of wind too. The 8.3 Airblast (same size as 12m X2) can be used in 35 knots.

I have a airblast 8.4 but didn't fly yet because i am a beginner but things are going well.
How do you fly? I used to windsurf but I guess fly with a kiteboard is different from jumping with a windsurfboard.
