Kite Power!

Postby Haole_Built » Tue Nov 12, 2013 1:53 am

The kite has an area of 160 square metres (1,700 sq ft) and reduces fuel consumption by 15-20% on average; it will be upgraded to 320 square metres (3,400 sq ft) in order to save about 30%

Not a very big kite when you think about it.

An 80kg human uses a 15m kite.
3000000kg super tanker only uses a 160m kite!

that's only a measly 10 x the size of the humans kite.
