I haven't been able to find much info on this board other than from cabrinha. Anyone have any experience with it? I'm looking for a new board that's good in the chop and for carving. I'm curious how it stacks up against the Jimmy Lewis Model 3. Please share any reviews or personal experience. Thanks!

I rode a friend's 2013 for about 10 minutes, obviously not enough to give a real review. It felt like a nice board though, went upwind well, felt smooth (was about 4-6 ft chop + waves) and responsive. Had a bit of pop. Felt like a solid freeride board to me.

takes chop like a champ! fun, lively feeling board. I have spent quite a bit of time on a 2014 136cm one. (I'm 150lbs)

The 2014 seems to have more of a curved outline than the 2013. Cabrinha comments much more about the 2014's carving and chop capabilities than the 2013. I'm looking for some independent reviews if possible. I'm 175lbs and I'm not sure if I should go with the 137 or 141. They say you can ride these 3cm longer than normal. dyyylan thanks for sharing your experience with it.

I have a 139 JL Model 3 (139x39ish) and rented a tronic 136 (x41)2013 on a trip to Maui in April.
Model 3 is stiffer, thicker rails, heavier feeling. the dominatrix concave bottom is good in chop but I tend to get sore knees bapping thru chop on it, perhaps cuz of the stiffness(?). Still its OK in surf for a TT.
My experience with the tronic; I am 200 lbs so I think the 136 tronic was maybe a bit small for me.
It was lighter, livelier (and more flex) with thinner rails and ya, the bottom channels seemed to ease the chop. I was riding it in head high and larger waves where again it was OK in waves for a TT . I know, probably a sin not riding a surfboard in waves in Maui.
(I learned on a directional and have surfed long before kiting but I have gotten lazy in my old age and have been preferring not having to switch feet on my jibes).
Anyway thats my 2 cents.

That's right, that's why I said it...
