hey Eketeket, you stole the message 8000 from me!

Just kidding!

YOU guys made this forum a really good one!
it makes fun talking to you.

A must also admit, that I really aciate the way everyone is treating other ones. We only had a few negative and personal posts.
And I hope not for me, but for all users being a fan of this forum, that it will stay this way: friendly, informative, competent, fast and enjoyable.

The sad thing about this forum is, that we may never meet each other!
But hopefully I will meet time after time more and more of you guys to have a nice session together. And it doesn't matter at all if you are a beginner or pro!

I have a small but nice idea to make this forum less anonymous, so at least we can see how some of you guys look like to make yourself a better imagination of someone. I like the idea to know the face of the person I'm writting to or discuss something.

Thanks guys!

Toby

Toby
only been on this forum for a bit but already met someone who kites in the same place! & sorted out a few problems with my kit as well!
Thanks for all your comments & efforts they are appreciated.
This is a new sport & there is of course a lot of room for improvement & developments in the sport and this is the way to help us get there.

ciao

Alex

Congratulations Toby!

You have put together a good forum with a strong global following of kiteboarders. I too appreciate the generally constructive attitude on this site and have learned a lot. Are you suggesting putting together a photo gallery of participants?

Keep up the great job!

thx guys.

Hey blown away, you won't meet me in the water but rather in the air!

Your friends are welcome anytime!

Point well taken...

The air is the best place to be.... who said Kiwi's can't fly.

Go high and then go even higher...

Yes, Toby it does. I am glad to see so much renewed attention on leash use. Now if I can only start to see them on local launches.

You guys in New Zealand have earned my respect. You have a bit of unstable weather down that way. At least from the lofting reports and internet wx records that I have seen. Keep 'em flying and safe!

Yeah it can be unstable at times down here...

Not that often though and only in some circumstances from the west. Just need reasonably small kites..... Easterlies are pretty constant up here in Auckland and the southerlies usually are pretty stable too due to the often cloudless skies (no squalls fronts etc).

It can get quite windy so it's a good place for experts who can handle the radicial stuff better... good for beginners in summer as well.

Best thing though is uncrowded beaches most of the time (apart from the main spots in summer).

Anyway go hard and go crazy
