IIRC it's like the pic with the all-white background - you just twist the hose on.

Me like, me like this idea a lot.....
...except, I have had those plastic nodes break before when attaching a pump hose to the pump inflate side...wouldn't want that to happen on the actual kite side...

Westozzy. That is a really good point. I also have a hose with a broken tab. It still works but if both broke off that would require a valve replacement. Something to consider.

Broken those nubs off every pump I've ever owned.
You can get a pump to stay put in a Boston Valve if you do what the smarty pants guys at Switch did.
Just grab some Emery Cloth (or sand paper) and wrap it around the nozzle tip that comes with your pump and twist your hand back and forth a half dozen times to rough up the tip.
Then when you shove it into the valve, it stays put just fine while pumping.

nope! you'd just have to replace that screw on "thingy" for $6-$10, not the entire valve - unless that's what you meant?

So the part with the Nubs (let's call them) which allows you to attach the hose end screws in? So you can unscrew just this part. Or are you talking about the top which screws on after you have finished pumping? There is no issue there.
As far as the boston valve goes, I have never had my ozone nozzle shoot out once I have securely put it in. Pumped collectively 500 odd times on that valve, and you can quadruple that with the other three riders. I'm not sure where this concern comes from, it has never been an issues. The ONLY issue is the fine sand that gets caught in the rubber seal that needs ot be cleared regularly or you don't get a good seal and you have to tighten the valve too much to the point you could damage it.
Must admit I am growing more fond of the new north valves, once you get your head around using them. My brother did have a slight issue with some air escaping even after he turned it back and locked it off (he's the only one so far) so we just blew some air into the valve unit and it worked spot on after that. Thing is even is there is a little air escaping the end cap has a seal which when screwd on, stops all air escaping.

There is a total of three parts :
-The valve itself that is glued on the main bladder
-The section with the two tabs that screw in
-The protective cap
So the section with the two tabs is inexpensive and very fast to replace. But honestly I have yet to see one of theses broke.

Or you could just use a normal valve.
Just saying
