This board was built with cedar cut into strips and bonded with gorilla glue. The rails were made from ABS drain pipe cut into 1/4 inch strips and bonded to the board with liquid ABS (acetone and ABS). The foot pads were made from 2 layers of floor foam bonded with contact cement. All available from home depot. The board was shaped with a planer and a router mounted on tracks to remove material at the edges of the board. The board was glassed with 6 oz cloth and epoxy. The board has camber but no rocker . Hence the name Flat Bastard. Thanks Doug for the inspiration and humour in your post the chubby girl!

How much of a pita were the rails?
I've done epoxy and urethane rails, both are somewhat of a pain, somewhat heavy, and cost more than an ABS pipe and a little acetone...
So I am curious, if this is serviceable and cheaper, is it also easy, or a hassle....

ABS drain pipe is light cheap and very strong . I cut it on table saw and bent it using a heat gun to get it to form to the shape of the board. If you put some in acetone and leave it in a sealed jar you will have liquid ABS which you can use as an adhesive/ filler.

Awesome!…

Will have to get details from you up at Oli about rails, routerering, pads and such!

Can't wait to try her out!

You won't mind, eh?

Does she let others ride her?
