They are doing about 7 knots which is actually pretty typical for a sailboat doing a crossing like this. At this pace they should be there in 2 weeks, which means they should make their scheduled time even with the layover. Sounds like they got everything in control. But it is a hell of a slog.

Looks to me they are crossing the atlantic in a yatch, and eventually doing some kiting around the boat.
Are they claiming atlantic crossing by kitesurf?
Strange things....

So is this is the same crossing that Ruben Lenten, Susi Mai and Lou Wainman (among others) were supposed to do? Anybody know why they dropped out? Since there are no high profile riders, it seems like this crossing isn't getting the exposure it normally would have unfortunately.

I don't think they understood just how much this journey was work instead of a fun romp across the ocean this was a 4 week slog.
This was an epic journey and what a great finish. Nobody died, even tho they lost someone overboard, a bit of luck there it happened during the day, so they could spot him right away.
Can't wait for the movie, must be thousands of hours of film I hope the movie is epic.
