I see Boardriding Maui is now offering a thruster. Any reviews? Any info on the construction of this board....seems Greg doesnt follow tradition and I like that
Maybe he has put together a board that will hold up to the demands of strapless riding?

I'd be interested in finding out more about the Thruster as well. My Paipo is fantastic and I've progressed faster on strapless tricks and airs on that board than any other. In fact i almost ride that board exclusively now unless conditions are good for wakestyle or it's really big. If Greg has designed a thruster that's as light, durable and fun that'd be awesome and I want one.

I emailed Greg and he had these comments:
CONSTRUCTION: Vacuum bagged EPS / Bamboo. It will dent but I have yet to have one crack / suck water.
PERFORMANCE: It tends in the short/wide direction at 5'8" x 18 3/4". A fairly hippy outline combined with a relatively high rocker line makes is playful. It has 5 spot fin configuration for thruster or quad. i run it as a twin fin.
He is very good about providing feedback. If you have specific questions I would email him directly.

The board is great. I used it in small to medium sized surf. It has 5 fin boxes. I've mostly ridden it twin and jumped it quite a bit. It is a light board.
Build is solid. I've jumped the hell out of the board and no problem.
Bonus is the crazy green coloring. It looks sick. I call my board "da green monsta".
I did not care too much for the fins that came with it, but that is a matter of preference since I prefer stiffer fins. It might have to do with my weight and I can totally see the argument for more flexy fins. Great performing board.
