I'll go with the 2013 Lithium too. Really nice kite on most fronts.
I just upgraded to the 2014 before the year was out, but the 2013 was a game changer for me.

I have been looking at this board for a while now. There are not many real user reviews either. I would only use it in the right conditions/location for speed runs, so it would only get used occasionally.I am looking for a used one.
Do you use a GPS to gauge your speed? How much did the board increase your max speed. Any other comments on your experience with this board?
I have not been out in ideal conditions, but I seem to max out at 35MPH in small chop with a regular twin tip. I dont know if I need to go up to a bigger kite, just need more wind, flatter conditions, a better board or a bigger set of balls. It is probably a combination of all of those factors. I have enough kites, so the only one I can buy is the board.

the board is insane. Takes a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of the board, it will take you to speeds which are ridiculous. To the point where I think it would be a good idea to start wearing a helmet.
Like you said, the board is for the right wind conditions. I have a 12m, and the board requires 20-25 knots to get going. I still have not gone full speed on the thing, but every time I use it, I go faster.
No jumping, no tricks, just hauling ass.

That's a bargain for a good low end with some grunt to pull me over the waves for a smooth kite to be used as light wind (15knots) wave kite.
I don't understand why one would need big sizes like 14m,15m, 17m as this kite gets me going in waves and strong current at 15knots
erm... for when it's under 15knots maybe

Really? I never had any issues with my Bandit. Same goes for all my crew.
Is it possible that Fone had a bad batch?
What durability issues did you in encounter ? Is it only with your kite ?
