That aint wave riding. That is getting pulled by the kite on the wave.
in opposition to… getting pulled by the kite on the wave?
(but then just in a different direction)

If you are riding upwind on the waves its more than likely not real wave riding but anything is possible.

If you are riding down the line doing top and bottom turns and not riding frontside you're missing out. It makes a big difference. Like the difference between riding a twin tip with wakeboard boots or a surfboard in waves. One is the right tool the other is foolish.

Ive spent more than enough time on the north shore to know there are no good barrels for kiting. Ill take WA anyday over that overcrowded rock. Empty beaches and no racist locals here brah. Shit I could find better and easier spots to get barreled in WA but would rather ride nice top to bottom waves.

It's ignorance like this, the need for a wetsuit, and the fact it hasn't been hyped to death by surfers that keeps the crowds away from WA which is another huge plus over HI and why I live here and not there.

Flyfish: why won't you answer honestly about you flying foils in the surf? Don't be ashamed. Admitting your problem is the first step to getting better.
