I was wondering were you got them from, Smooth kite, may be able to take some flutter out with adjustment on the bridle/pully adjustment.

I dont want to be the guinea pig lol, you buy one and try it Craig
You do bring up a really good point though.. I'm sure that there are bridle tweaks that can be done. I have heard that one thing that is being done is a front line extension of 2-3", reports are that it cuts the luffing down, gets the bar away from the chicken loop, and allows for a bit of stalling. The down side being that you loose depowerability. Hopefully these things sell well and stay on the market long enough for the more daring to do some trial and error for me

Used the Peak 9m a few times now on the snow. Fun kite. I second the vote for a 12m. I would be happy to give up some turning speed for more power for those light wind powder days.

I agree, a 12m would be money!! Another thing to add.. I have the back pack aswell. They advertise it as big enough to fit both kites at the same time, but its really not.. I can squeeze them both in, but there isn't 1 square inch to spare. Its really perfect size for the 9m and a few other things. I haven't used it for kiting yet, being a nut crusher I'm not sure I would want to. Its kinda weird to me, you have to loop the leg straps thru the same spot that the chicken loop goes. I think its a pretty good idea, it packs really small and allows you to just toss it in your car for an in case session, like if your stuck at your in laws or something.

I don't think the pack is worth using. I would rather use my Arcteryx ski pack that has a place for shovel, probe, etc. plus ample room for 2 kites. I just use a Black Diamond Climbing harness with a biner and it works great.
I am ignorant of the fabric used on the Peak. It does not appear to be super light. I am curious if the new Lotus fabric has been tested with the Peak?
I usually drive to Skyline to kite, but with the Peak, I can kite closer to home in the Wasatch Mountains. I would rather spend an hour skinning up, rather than sitting in my car for 90 minutes to get to Skyline. The only concern is avy danger, so I go to a Skyline when the conditions are not safe.

Standard fabric on the Peak but still very light.
A Peak DLX would be pretty sweet tho.

Every gram counts when ski touring (skitouren for our German friends)! So, a Peak Lotus would be sweet!

Hi guys,
Just to get the info right: the Peak is built from a combination of deluxe fabric and the fabric we use in the Cronix. There is no standard fabric used in the kite.
Thank you very much for the inputs and the reviews, good to hear people posting experiences with their kites !

All I know is they fly awesome and the 6 is s riot to fly! Quite a good boosting kite, much faster than the 9 both in turning speed and thru the air. Way less flutter than the 9 too
