Black Diamond Turbo Ice 22cm from MEC - $48, a couple of carabiners, and a sling and you are set.

For our purposes we've found older Lowe screws work great for snowkite. They are a wide diameter screw which makes for easy clearing after you've taken the screw out. Especially important if you only have one screw.
We always have 2 screws. One that we leave at the launch area with a flag in it and one on board for emergency kite landings out and about. If you never fly far from where you laun
ch one screw will do.

This is my favorite screw. Not sure the brand. Like the Lowe they are wide diameter and bot have a spinning hanger which is key if you fly where the winds are constantly shifting.
The thing I like about this screw is the way you can slide the hanger done the screw. Allows for shallow placement without having screw exposed to too much leverage.
You should never leave a screw hanging out. Always thread to the hilt.
