What about the Ozone Edge 19? vs the others?

Huge high aspect kites are just not what we want to fly, when you can get about the same amount of power and faster performance from other kites. If you want to get on a raceboard and ride in next to nothing then those are fine, but riding twintips we have found over the years the lower aspect kites perform better. Before the Turbines the Crossbows were our lightwind kites, and when the turbines showed up it was a different world here.

Plus guys, I would love to test every kite out there, but it gets expensive, even we don't get these kites for free. If people want to send me their kites I would gladly test them for them...

Well, it is a pity to hear that but kites like Dyno 17 are supposed to be used to as freeride kites as well. Ozone and North are top brands, I buy only one brand in order to save money in bars.

My next goal will be to pull together the high aspect racing kites and test them. So yes I'm looking at the Velocity, Dino, Edge, and maybe a few others if we can get a hold of them.

I love the High AR kites when the wind is up, an 13m or 11m is so much fun, when you get to the bigger sizes we find they are ok to ride and not much more, but I will admit besides the velocity we have not gotten to test the other new race kites.

We're trying guys. We really want to help everyone out, just wish we had more time and money too do it. Speaking of... Support you local shop!

Hey I appreciated the video a lot and am looking forward to your other reviews.
The head to head comparison is great.

One thing I would have liked to have seen was a "What I wish was better" by each rider on each kite.

Yes we sell all the brands we are testing.

Ligth wind kiting requires the right equipment and good technique. 12m north evo and 14m Rpm are perfect for light wind conditions and are the ones of our choice. Good technique can be achieved with a quality course given by a certified iko instructor or someone with skills and expirience in teaching.

Hi guys. Just a quick note from the Dusseldorf Boot Show where the Flite is on display and has been a talking point.

We really appreciate the interest in the Flite and how well it has been received this season. Obviously, we're also very stoked with the results of this informal test organized by the XL guys and gals.

They've really done their homework this season and we're pumped to see the Flite performing so well. I think - as so many of you point out - light wind performance comes down as much to the kite as it does to your riding style and preference but hopefully (apprently?) the New Flites are diverse enough to meet many of your needs.

Best thing to do? Try one! There are demos available through the XL guys now and I'm sure if you chatted with them they could even work out a way to ship you one if you're not able to stop in.
