I wish kite companies would quit the fashion contest and get real with safety minded kite color schemes to be seen on the water, BLUE does not cut it.

I have the worst luck with kite colors.
RPM 2009, black (easily get lost at sea)
Rally 2011, white (visible, but got stained, and I think did not conserve itself as well)
FUEL 2013, black (What? how about a yellow Kite?)
I mean... I like the black, but its just not practical for equipment that might get lost at sea!
I usually kite at a safe spot, but anyways,

before complaining too much about kite colours, please remember that the colour of the ocean \ water changes from location to location as well.
I tend to like the bright colours like orange & red.

Bright is good, easy to spot for rescue situations. Watching a white kite in overcast conditions a few minutes ago. Couldn't see it on the water, not so visible in the air either.

Quick! Let's all go out and buy North kites! I think their designs would send that 'puter program into meltdown...

And how about all thous stupid kiteboards in dark or water like colours, some years ago it was a topic in KF, and some produser said that it was the colours we want to buy......
NO!!!
1. We want boards that we belive will make us better/make us have more fun,
and if that board has a stupid colour we buy it any way.
2. If we can get the board in a smart colour that we can find easily, the board is even better.
My SS Glide is gray and blue

For my son, I am buying a Core kite, the easy to spot colour is one of the reasons.
