solar res will not go off under the clamps or not cure. Tape it real hard with clear tape. Never done it, but might work.
Or just use regular resin and clamp it. .. better result ...guessing here

Clean and dry the damaged section.place the fin steady in a way that you can make a moulder from carton and then pour some two-part epoxy adhesive suitable for bonding metals, wood, ceramics, glass inside (i prefer the BISON or something similar) until the moulder fils.wait 2 days in a dry place.remove the carton and start sanding with 100 microns sandpaper until you got the shape.finish with a 600 micron water sandpaper ... tadaaaaaaa !!!!!

ps.dont follow the instructions about 1,5 hour cure..LEAVE it al least 48 hours in a dry place.

It works also with Solarez, I've done it a couple of times with success. I use a clear plastic to create a mould to hold the Solarez. The clear plastic is attached above the repair in various location with masking tape. Expose to sun for 3+min and then remove the tape and sand it. Try to avoid using excess Solarez because it will be quite time consuming to sand it.

ok if you dont have the time to wait use SOLAREZ with UV cure.but its expensive and the most of the quantity to fill the mould is gonna be sanded away.in the other way BISON cost a few euros

Yeh sand down and solarez to cover. Use plasticfoil to shape.
You'll not be able to rebuild this way but who cares.

I used solarez on a fins set and it works great.
Only thing is its just a bond. You will need to lay some fiberglass cloth in there to give it some strength.
If not, it will crack as soon as something bumps it.

It is done. It doesn't look pretty but feels good enough. The cloth layers were split apart but seem to be bonded again. Our beaches are littered with rocks after the continuous storms we have been having so I am sure it will happen again.
I am impressed by the strength of the naish fin boxes as it clearly too a hard whack.
