What other kites do you ride, might help narrow down what 'style ' of light wind kite.
I have a 2014 14m Rally and a 2009 12m Royal Era.
Have owned and sold the 2012 17m Dyno and 2013 15m Edge. I just found that those kites lacked the grunt that I need when the board bogs down. So I think I need something with less aspect. But not too low. I've also owned the older light wind kites (TD2, TD3, Contra, xbow) and found the pull down wind was too much.
Yeh the 2012 dyno did lack that static grunt. Why do you think Toby has cornered all of the 2011 ones in the world!! Lol. The new one by the sounds of it has gone back more to its roots as has the 2014 rebel.
Well its looking like to me either the zephyr or the core, given you don't want that pull down wind and yet want something that will fly forward in the window but not too much due to aspect.
Core will go lower I reckon than the zephyr but will max out quicker. I'd research those two myself.
Others might disagree though, that's my call. Good luck.

Im 75kg and hold her down easy in 20mph. 8-10mph is no worries , but its only really cruising until 11mph+ for me and then the fun kicks in. It starts to get overpowered past 20mph. Maybe a mistype?
I prefer big and fast kites in light winds as you get a huge amount of float that makes learning new stuff in light winds really easy. Lots of guys I have spoke to use the fat lady as their kite to learn a new trick on and reckon its really upped their game.
Lots of good kit out there though and its great to see light wind kites become fun. 5 years ago big kites sucked and light winds were out. Its all changed now..

OK I can't take it - what are the better light wind kites according to you and why?
I've reviewed a few kites that are better. Just to be quick
SS Turbine - Power and relaunching, riding in 7mph
New OR Flite 2 - Power and speed, Riding in 7mph
Cabrinha Contra - Power and range, riding in 7-8mph (Still testing this one)
This is a fat lady doing it in ~5 knots...add a knot because he is on shore. But anyway about 5.7mph, and you say the fat lady isnt top three? i think it is?

I agree. I have spent a lot of time standing around on light wind days waiting for wind with Fat ladys, Dynos, Airrush ones, flysurfer and others. IMO, very little happens under 10mph.
I have tested the Fat Lady, Zephyr, Turbine, and Dyno.
The Fat Lady is def. my favorite. If only Fone would have made a striped down 17m version of the Bandit
