I was riding at Cherry Beach in Toronto on Sunday, October 5. I did a down winder away from the rest of the kiteboarders; I landed my kite and placed my board by the edge of the beach. I proceeded to untangle my lines and wrapped my kite. When I turned back to pick up my board it was gone. To make a long story short a dog walker and some other spectators informed me that some guy without a wetsuit picked up my board and walked towards the parking lot, he got into his truck and drove off.
My board was a 2001 Lightwave Pitbull Editions, 147 white and green with Hawaiian flower pattern on the bottom with 3 inch Rainbow fins on the heel side and plastic fins on toe side. The foot straps were more expensive then the board, Sling Shot adjustable plate foot straps. I had a Hawaiian Island Creation sticker and a Kailua Beach sticker on the board. I know this person that took it is not a kiteboarder, but I am expecting him to sell it to a shop or another rider or he might even just keep it for a coffee table. Please keep a lookout for this board and email me kitesurfing123@gmail.com. I know it’s a piece of shit board but it is the idea that someone did this to me that upsets me the most. I always see everyone leaving boards around I don’t expect to find it I just want to let people know in big city beach parks you have to keep a lookout on your equipment.
