I'm remember you stating 5% difference between race and cruise...i'll have to do some research..
Still, you have the most knowledgeable poster on this forum, or at least that's the impression i get. If i miss quote you again, plese feel free to correct me. i am not an enginner or mfg, just an old guy trying to learn new tricks
I'm still flying Arcs and flysurfers---QUITTER
Yep. You are right about that. About 5% difference at the moment (at least for our Standard wing vs our Race wings. Which in Top Level Racing is pretty big over a long distance. If you are in it for the fun, then you will hardly notice the speed difference.

The founder of Taaroa Remi Delahaye used to be Carafino's dealer in France. I wonder where he got his inspiration?

I think it is safe to say that the Sword looks about as similar to the Carafino as a wheel does to a horse.

Answer, from Franky foils and design help from a famous hydrodynamics engineer, and others.
And for sure he and his team knew they could design and manufacture a MUCH faster, stronger, lighter kiteboardhydrofoil, which he has and continues to do.
As well as many others, great!
I reply,
The founder of carafino, Christopher Carabello, used to live in hawaii.
I wonder where he got his inspiration?
Answer. AIR CHAIR! Read the history, it is all there.
And to just drive my point home,
The first generation carafino looks much closer in design to an AIR CHAIR, than the SWORD does to a carafino.

Rush Randle used the Airchair Skyski aluminum foil,
Carafino is the first one with carbon fiber, all the rest are just copies.
The Rush Randle use snowboard binding and boots, which made kite foiling impossible.
Mr. Carafino is the first with foot straps on the hydrofoil.
Mr. Carafino is the first pioneer who made kite hydrofoil possible. He is the father of kite hydrofoil.
Now that his former dealers who stole his ideas and his business are slandering him on the forum for financial gains.

Couple of things in your well reasoned fan message....
Rush kite foiled in boots on his foil before mango reinvented the wheel
It's only slander if it isn't true
Oh and by claiming that mangos former dealers Stole his ideas( I guess you mean intellectual property?) it's you that's committing slander... Where is your proof of theft?

Mike Murphy Patented his Aluminum extrusion, the mistake Carafino did or rather did not do is patent his Carbon Fiber for kite hydrofoil.
