I don't think that he was much more in the company than just a name. They needed him for marketing purposes, so as long as the company keeps its name I don't think him quitting will have any impact on them.
For those of you who want to know the real people around WH, it is written on their webpage. http://www.wainmanhawaii.com/about-us
However, for some weird reason I can't understand, they've changed their first names from Polish to English equivalents .
Lou Wainman is the creator and godfather of my absolute favourite kite: the 6.25 Gypsy.
Lou Wainman has definitely been more in this company than just a marketing asset. Their first line of kites was designed by Lou & Franz, legends of our sport....and you can feel that in the way they fly!
Seems to me that Lou's opinion got less important to the big guys with more and more $$$ rolling in...
Just compare the 2.0 Rabbits to the 1.0 series...am I the only one that thinks they feel dead? (except the 6.25 maybe)
After recently reading about a one-pump system on the next series (an absolute no-no for guys like Lou and Franz) it doesn't come as a surprise to me at all...
Wainman Hawaii will feel this in the long run. If the market doesn't punish you guys - karme will. You nuts were privileged enough to benefit from a legends knowledge and visions. You have a guy like Lou...cherish him, don't burn him!

wow...
What message does this send about the brand?
I found this line funny on their website "We never intend to make anyone mad or upset"
Does this mean Shannon Wainman - American market office manager and "female diamond" stay on?
