North Dyno 2011 16m centre strut replacement.

Postby Westozzy » Sat Mar 22, 2014 1:00 pm

Just burst my center strut, my fault, bladder was fine.

I'm devastated just dialing in this awesome jumper.

Where would I source one of these. Has a weird shape...not sure an after market one will suffice.

Really appreciate a heads up where to look.

If overseas I will shout you an virtual beer or two!!! Infact I'd pay a finders fee if I can find one!!!

Jim Haddox makes them custom from cad files. They are not one size fits all and he doesn't use that orange material which leaks.

While I'm at it, if any of guys want to part with an 18 or 16 dyno from this vintage I have buyers over here!!

One guy has already offered me there in a couple of months but I got plenty of crew who would want one...

Here's another from today before I blew the damn strut...my fault not the kite nor the construction. I'm pissed.

Nah not yet. He's been on a trainer since he was 4 (he's just turned 6). Just got that kite for him, had his first crack that day (waiting for some photos to stream...only taken 24hrs and only half way through !!).

Won't be long, he's been riding with me since 4 as well. He will be throwing down all that flicky flicky stuff before too long and calling his old man an old school tragic...and I am.

He's a water baby....

What a place to live 9 degrees c here drizzle nearest water 80miles and chocolate soup but good winds on the Bristol Channel, when I first started it was just twenty something's and older now the kids doing it they learn so fast and make us look like amateurs, just do strapless kite surf board riding 90% of the time now for the past 5 years easier way to look good but still enjoy a good blast on the twin tip,be good to have a surfing partner with the kids though until we get un cool;-)

Nice pictures!

Especially the father and son ones. I have a son who's gonna turn six this summer. He's already flying a trainer kite (HQ 1,7m). I was wandering when will it be the time for hook him with a bigger kite? Which size and which brand? Next winter ( in Canada), I'll put him on skis on a field with the trainer kite in his hands so he could do some tacks.
I really like the last picture with your son taking off a wave. I have a daughter, her name is Waïméa ( in memory of Waïméa bay in Hawaii ) she's three and I can't wait to surf with her.
We spend the summer in Magdalens island (a kitesurf paradise here in Canada) but waves have nothing to do with Australian ones. Your lucky to live so close to the sea!

We could start a "Father and son" thread... Ladies on this forum would crack for them! :girl: Just hope there's no pedo on this forum.

Thank for your help on this forum!!
Bruno
