Not really, other than one guy who seems to be having a bit of a sour patch.
The guys I kited with yesterday (11M weather) are stoked to be on the water and stoked to be in Austin.
The four guys that have sent me texts tonight about some 9M weather coming tomorrow morning are happy chaps all around. :thumb:
The drama you speak of, was generated out of Cocoa beach, as usual.

Jats - Some of the gang at the coast, and in Austin.
First is at the South Padre Island Kite Round Up demo days.
Second in a little spot on the Laguna Madre in Corpus Christi.
Third at Lake Pflugervile here in town
Forth at lake Buchanan

Looks pretty sick right? Did he tell you the distance you'll need to drive to get there is just about the same distance as a drive from San Francisco to Los Angeles? EPIC!!!

I've literally only ridden there once in 10 years of kiting—and I love to drive! I've driven to San Francisco and kited Crissy more times than I've driven to and ridden SPI.

Oh, and don't let his exaggerations fool you. Travis kiters don't text. Hell, they lack opposable thumbs and mostly communicate through a series of clicks and grunts. Their prehensile toes make air-style tricks fun to watch, but be on alert for flying feces. Also, try to avoid eye contact or sudden movement around them.

Also, did anyone mention Austin is in the middle of Texas? 'Nuff said.

The other problem with austin is that all the crews are at war, so you gotta chose wisely when you move here. One time our crew had to get back from Belton but accidentally ended up in Travis crew territory. It was one long night...

I even got a shot of us just hanging out by windy point at dusk. We had no idea what we were in for.

OMG!

Maybe Toby could install some mechanism that renames threads going down like this into kindergarden no 1,2,3 ...
