All three strut kite especially need their trailing edge weighed down when on the beach, this is not exclusive to rpm. They flap around like a group of woman's mouths at a coffee shop talking about ...whatever the hell they talk about, don't know I can never keep up with 14 different convos all happening at once....so much is said and yet nothing is said?

it is a common problem on the rpm. I got mine repaired, they put a long piece of fabric along the edge. Don't put dacron (or fabric on both sides), otherwise you will have the same problem but a couple of cm lower.
That's how they did it:

You might want to take a look at how North does their trailing edge reinforcement and see if a local shop will add a reinforcement like that.

North uses big piece of dacron, which can add excessive weight. And your kite was not designed for this weight, so it can affect its flying performance.
Just put ripstop tape across all trailing edge as windrt advices. Or better find ripstop that is 15cm high, because cracks got pretty high. You need to cover them all and still have some padding space.
