Unhooking a kite without needing to trim..which kites

Looking for a more freestyle kite so I can do more unhooking. I am 90kg so i am looking for 13 to 14m as my everyday kite where when I unhook I won't have to trim the kite. I have heard there are some kites that behave the same either hooked in or unhooked without needing to trim. I would also prefer the kite to be not too fast. As a beginner to unhooked stuff, I am sure I will end up pulling the bar incorrectly in the beginning. And for good measure, it would be nice if the kites back lines slack for some time to do tricks.
I am kite technology and year agnostic...It can be a C kite, a bow, a hybrid, bridled or not and it can be a few years old model as long as it has the characteristics I listed above.

You don't need to trim any kite to unhook if you have it properly trimmed in the first place

but the answer i suppose you're looking for, is that you really want a c kite

I definitely dont agree whatsoever....

IMO, most Bow or SLE kites need more depower trim before unhooking, whereas most C kites excel in having a more correct trim both hooked and unhooked

Or is it just me ?

Noone wants to ride with the bar fully pulled towards the release/CL, normally (having both arms bent, and/or need to lean back a lot), so that is another reason why ALL kites will need some depower trim, when you unhook.

But with C kites, the depower range is way shorter, and you wont "kill" the kite as easily when powered a bit up, like you can with SLE kites (IMO)

Hi there

Ozone c4, all ozone kites are very resistant to back stalling. Think it's because they don't have pulleys in there bridals. One of the best unhooking kites I've ridden.

Also the hadlow pro, but this has a tendency to glue itself to the water

Most need a little trim but really set and forget. The biggest think is going slightly down wind 2-3 seconds before unhooking to let the kite drop deeper in the window . C kites tend to do this better. In a hybrid a c4, rpm or most open c will suit u. If u want to go full c try the maniac very grunty for a c suit larger riders.

Choose your kite size / trim setting so you can ride well powered up with the bar at 10cm from the release/cl. When you unhook, you won't get tossed around and the kite should not backstall. A few friends who do a lot of unhooking just love the Nobile 50/50...

I got a FUEL, slingshot C kite, this one works perfect!

THis is the kite that I bought just to learn how to unhook, and I confess that I wass a bit afraid about the relaunch and I have never had problem with it. The Fuel relaunch is very easy!!

I do not have enought depower, welcome to C kite. However it is the best option to unhook.

But you can t wait that you gonna feel confortable in a first ride, C kite is really different to bow kites, so you need pratice and than never more you gonna think to leave it

Yes well this is one that doesn't need trimming. Rpm is the same. Naish torch, C4 (got f*** all do to with no bridalling by the way), new airush VX are ones that I've ridden and come to mind.

Don't need to trim all kites before you unhook...really? Not what I've found. The more C the better for no trim to unhook.
