Is Rebel being phased out ?

Postby lander » Wed Apr 16, 2014 9:37 am

Why would anyone choose the Rebel over the Dice? When looking on these data specs, the Dice seems to do everything better:

They are two very different kite, don't look too much at the data specs. The Rebel is a pure 5 lines hybrid design oriented to freeriding, with great upwind capabilities, easy relaunch and top safety. The Dice is a C-like design, fast and responsive, more direct than the Rebel, oriented to freestyle and waves. What I frankly can't understand about the specs of the Dice is about racing...

Having tried both kites, their difference is night-and-day. Both excel at very different things.

clearly these specs are wrong! and they are different than the paper catalogue
clearly the dice has NOTHING for racing: average upwind, poor low end

rebel is one of the best selling kite of north, they will hardly phase it out soon

I think its a mistake. Rebel being almost the worst kite for race???

Already told North about 3 weeks ago, but they never check their Facebook account ;)

Rebel is the number one selling kite in the world. Why would the company vase it out. You can't compare dice to rebael but there is a small cases for comparing Evo vs Rebel

I reckon the only problem the Rebel has in the current North lineup is that it doesn't end in a vowel

Yeh the charts are crazy. I think it's better to look at the shape of the kite and then pick your poison...
