Hello:
I did not get much traction on this post in the kitesurfing forum so thought I would ask here. Anybody have any experience with Vieste in August.
Would love to know kite size recommendations and any other tips.
Thanks
ro

Vieste is a beautiful place and is very good for kite conditions, often there is a Maestrale that blow formo early in the morning about at 08:00 until 10:00, then goes down but at 13:00 until afternoon blow again.
The size of kite used is between 12/14 and 10/9.
Vere big bay and very beautiful seaside with forest to do MTB. Vieste town is beautiful little town on the sea where you can also eat wonderful dish and local food.
In august is litte bit crowed.

Nice spot, nice camps, right on the beach, several launch zones, a lot of turists, choppy, works on NW and SW winds, with NW less in the morning, more in the afternoon. The little island is blocking a bit NW so there is some hole in the winds, what I found out the best spot is right in the middle of the bay where few schools are located.
