kite Pump Concept Design

Just get a provisional and do it yourself online.
Any 'layperson' can do it.
Then when you get some profit you can dump it on the patent attorney.
No offence JDM - but Its been streamlined now because attorneys were gouging and stifling innovation.

So, any progress with the kite pump? I am keen to have a more efficient pump for general use, and a much smaller pump for travel.

There has been a heap of development in bicycle pumps in recent years. I have an alloy mini-pump that will easily pump up the high volume tires of my mountain bike, and the high pressure tires on my road bike.

A new carbon micro bike pump has just appeared on the market that looks very interesting.

It would be an interesting experiment to attach my mini bike pump to a kite and see what happens. I guess I could tape a the valve from and old tube and start pumping and see what happened.

I like the idea. I'm not sure the shape is practical. But it looks cool.

I would like a pump that is higher quality than the cheap and cheerfull plastic pumps.
pumps more volume per stroke and requires less force to do so.
Also a pump that lasts a lot longer. Like the alluminium mountain bike pumps. Those things are smooth, and lasts ages.

I would be prepaired to pay more $$ for a high quality pump that gave me a performance advantage.

I've had one for about 3 years. Seals last forever with no leaks...pumps kite good and hard always Pump only on the way down so easy on your back .. about the same volume as up & down on a normal pump, maybe a bit more.

A bit heavy and big to carry, but good to intimidate people with your big pump!

The current pumps work. The problem is they are not well made IMO.

Someone make a pump that can be fixed. ie strip down quickly and easily replace the broken part(s) in 10 mins. It can also be cleaned and lubricated properly so they work more efficiently.
