My daughter has expressed an interest in the sport and wants me to teach her this summer, but I'm wondering how do I go about finding a kiteboard for a kid? 10yo. What have you guys been doing with your kids? The stance would have to be narrower and the board smaller I would assume.. as well as the foot pads. Any advice or where I should look, thanks.
Unless we go directly to strapless.. but I don't think that's a good idea.

Go custom. There are plenty of shapers out there that could make a twin for you. You could try talking directly with may be Slingshot since they make their boards here in the U.S. and not in a factory around the world. There is all so BroKite in Corpus Cristi they hand make all their boards so it would be easy for them to make a smaller board.

Liquid Force Influence Mini from Kite-Paddle-Surf in Bellingham, WA:

and the Grom strap kit:

$280 has got to be the best deal around that I've seen for a new kids board with pads and straps. I've bought from Andy many times (despite the fact that I live on the completely opposite side of the country) and the prices and service are top notch.
I bought my 12yo daughter a used board from Real last year and then still had to get pads and straps and ended up spending not much less than that for a board that I had to fix up a bit. Wish I could have gotten this deal then.

That epic board is quite pricey compared to others that I'm finding of the same spec (e.g. 199.99), I guess it's the model year difference. The board is going to get lost (or non retrievable) anyways so older model year will do fine.
