Hi guys,
quick question. I am using the Kahoona 9.5m so far (Beginner) and since winds around here have died down I am looking to get a 12m kite to be more flexible with the wind ranges.
I now have been offered a 12m Slingshot RPM 2012 in good condition and was thinking of taking the offer but now read that the Slingshot is actually not really 12m but much smaller. Do you still think it would be a good addition especially since I don't want another "school kite".
Also what would be a good prize for a 2012 RPM + bar?
Thanks so much

The RPM is a great kite but you are correct the 2012 and earlier years had a smaller sized 12m, it's basically a 10.5 or so. Since 2013 it's actually a proper 12m kite.
The kahoonas have a pretty big wind range, so any 12m kite would have a bit of overlap with it, but that might be ok. You could probably get away fine with a 13m if you really want to maximize your wind ranges. Something like 13/9.5/7 or so. A 12m would be fine though too (just not 2012 or earlier RPMs)

Agree. Kahoonas are powerful for their sizes so if the 9.5 is not enough for you, then you're looking for a light wind kite.
Something like the TS light wind (stupid expensive) or a Liquid force Solo or some other kite that focuses on light wind raw power.

Kahhona 9.5 has about the same power as a 12m. Actually i was using my kahhona 9.5 demo in about the same range as a 12 m ts so you wont gain much. Get yourself a 13.5 kahoona or 12 m core or waiman. Delta shape have great low end but not so hot on the upper range. I would say that a 9m switchblade or ts has about 7 or 8 more knots on the upper range as opposed to the kahoona.
