I was out in some pretty big surf today. Nahant Mass, head high swell , relentless breakers close to shore. Had a blast on my 12m Rebel, and CrazyFly shox 132x43 cm. That being said , I was thinking my board was on the short side and could use a little more rocker. I was doing fine but was burying my nose and having a little trouble getting over some of the more intense whitewater. I prefer to stay with TT for now. Looking for suggestions.

I've been riding cabrinha tronic and it feels like it could do just what you are talking about. Your board has a little oval shape but tronic is alot more. I feel this makes the board nice for turns + eating chop. Maybe helps in waves also to keep the nose up.
I'm not skilled enough to do nice carving turns in waves yet but it might still be worth checking out.

i am pretty sold on the wainman joke. the thing just kills in the chop. lots of rocker so its hard nose dive but the landings on that board are really soft due to the convex bubble on the bottom. you can fly around and off of waves and really not sweat the landings. for me it made me ride more aggressively.
board is an exceptional carver as well, on par with my shinn monk.

2014 Cabrinha Tronic 145, loves to carve tight turns, plenty of grip with 55mm fins. Was designed to love high wind, waves and chop.
Cheers DK

Rogue wave. Lee has stopped making them which is unfortunate. Foam shaped surf style rail and concave. Smooth like butter.

+ 1 on Mako. Add the bigger fin on your preferred back foot side and you'll be rockin'

If you're serious about TT in waves… do you a favour and get a custom Alkita board.
Best TT ever in waves … made by Franz Olry himself
