I just bought this bag on a good sale.

I tend to fly to the Caribbean and Central America, which is the sweet spot for Spirit Airlines. Spirit has this fun policy that's basically a Go Big or Go Home luggage policy - you get two surfboards for the price of one if you can fit it into one container. No size or weight restrictions. In exchange for $100 one way instead of the normal $30.
Anyways the bag is monster sized, it can actually fit two real surfboards of 6'3"or up to three twin tips on the larger bag (the bag has dividers for three boards inside or two boards and one for non-board). It has heavy duty wheels to make carrying all of that gear easier too
I can fit all of my gear - 145 cm TT, 165 cm Mako King, 12m/16m kite quiver, two pumps,. harness, impact vest, wetsuit, booties, rashguards and boardshorts, etc. Funny thing is, since my boards are thin and not volumetric surf boards, it LOOKS like there are two full sized surf boards in it.
I bought this bag specifically to milk the Spirit policy since I travel on them so much. I think any other airline would rape me.
Whatever you get, I am a big fan of wheels. I'm a big guy, 6'0" 225 lbs, extremely athletic and I get tired of hauling gear around by hand, especially when you get these 1-2 mile walks in an airport (grrr MIA).
