I don't really understand why other foil makers (and maybe some affiliates) spend time bashing carafino instead of talking positive about their own products.
And if you don't like carafino, his boards & foils, or his marketing strategy, I can tell you that your methods is no better. Not at all!
In fact, you don't give me any reason to buy your excellent foils in the future.
Give more love, less hate!

to my knowledge nobody else here is issuing death threats to prevent competitors attending national championships for the sport they claim to represent (own????). only carafino.

Short report.
Today my friend Andy Wong got out riding the new Carafino with the larger front wing. He is a very skilled racer but a beginner a foiling. He got some nice short foiling rides while I watched and he liked it. He managed to hit a shallow sandbar too and everything survived.
Unfortunately the wind died before I could get out.
Neither Andy or I actually own one of these Carafino boards, they belong to our friends.
Below is a picture of my Spotz/Aguera, a Carafino, and Andy's KFA/Timavento

Yes Squamish
The weather was marginal. We can have over 100 kiters at Squamish on some days but today only five of us showed up, all keen foilboarders. Andy was the only one who got on the water before it shut down.
Last year we had one foilboarder here (me).. this year we have over 20 who either are foiling or are waiting for their foils to arrive.

Regardless of price, a copy is a copy and supporting such practices openly is just sad.

Thieves are crying foul.
Any competitor who used 4 bolts to attach to the board, uses carbon fiber for the foil, used straps on the board copied Carafino. Some even used the exact dimensions down to the millimeter.
