Was gonna upgrade to a 2013 compstick but then I saw that there seems to have been a lot of changes between the '13 and '14 model. From the youtube vid I've seen the improvements look quite significant and i'm wondering wether to wait 6months for the prices to drop n see if any used/ex demo ones come up as I am not paying £400 for a bar. If anyone who has used both would like to comment on the changes/improvements. cheers.

the 2014 QR is easier to grab to release. the material is different and there is a small lip to keep your hands from slipping but the biggest change is the 2014 is easier to depower. you can pull the depower line easier and in more directions when loaded. it is a noticeable better.

2014 bar sucks for unhooking
everything else feels better
but changes aren't radical, more like evolution

2014 only works if you remove the donkey if not is a pain for unhooking and riding suicide , i prefer the 2013 with the velcro and space for leash suicide( not damaging the rope )

Just been looking at some close ups of the 2014 CL and I don't really get why it's a prob for unhooking and leashing suicide?? it looks like the loop still flattens out by the release to get your leash onto and then clip the ss ring into the leash no or is it chunkier than it looks? As for unhooking is the donkey dick really stiff or something, i'm not questioning either of you I just don't quite get it from looking at the pics. cheers.
