nah, just no bar pics or copy and not clueing in to just how important that is to the kiteboarding market.
Definitely looks/reads like windsurfers (or someone who doesn't know kiting) wrote all the text on the site. The pic of the dude holding the bar with an underhand grip on the front page.... screams new to kiteboarding. The descriptions of the kites reads like they are paraphrasing what other companies say but getting it just wrong enough to show their faking it.
"There is more pop as usual while doing unhooked tricks and the well foreseeable flight characteristic gives you a save feeling"
or
"The very first start makes clear, that the kite can be flown and controlled by its new bar. It convinces with his tremendously solid stand at the edge of the wind window and is the right partner for holding height without much effort"
Even with a background as deep as they have (the sputnik was a killer board) Their expertise in kiting are simply hired and may have very little depth. Maybe they can make a go of it, but to anyone with more than a season or two under their belt its pretty obvious they are kiting newbs

Lolz. Their product description makes for some amusing reading:
"If one may believe the first test results of our team, the new Ride already gained cult status."
"The very first start makes clear, that the kite can be flown and controlled by its new bar."
"Due to its large wind range the kite’s performance is nearly infinite..."
... and many others.
It all sounds like someone used Google Translate, but to a non-native English speaker it probably reads alright. After all, who wouldn't want a kite controlled by its new bar?

Geronimo79 wrote:i see they even copied some of the names. Silberpfeil was one of the best racing boards.
Even if they did have a board named Silberfeil (translates to Silver Arrow) I think that name for a lightwind kite is taken
Also, their other kite is the Ride???

For all I know, they just bought the name. So no knowledge transfer from the good old F2-windsurfing-times. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Aren't they the guys that do Trans-Kiteboarding, too?

The F2 previous shaper (for windsurfing), Patrick Diethelm, is now running his own company, Patrick Boards (
www.patrikdiethelm.com) after F2 went bankrupt some years ago. I think the new owners simply bought the brand's name. It's clear they don't have much experience in kiteboarding, it's unbelievable to present such a range without a bar... I also agree the product descriptions are sometimes hilarious.

This is SO sad... F2 used to be THE STEEZE for windsurfing gear... F2 262 you will be in my heart forever.
BUT WTF the Harness section for Kite/Surf shows windsurf style harness lines without safety release? We got over this S&^t circa 2002!
http://www.f2.com/kite/harness.php
Who is responsible for this...? It can't be the geniuses that used to make the best Windsurf production boards evah?
