Sweet board man. Nomad make some sick boards I did take some inspiration from Nomad boards. Particularly their diagonal carbon stringers. Used that it has worked well to keep a nice tip flex and while giving good torsional stiffness.

Nomad looks reaaly cool, but I would have thought that the big surf style fins would go on the other side of the board. Dont they "catch" when you are riding the board with those way out on front?

correct, the board was turned round.

I tend not to ride the board on the nose & usually gybe, but when it is very windy (over 40knots), sometimes I do ride it on the nose & it works fine, you just have to ride it differently to prevent the fins catching too much.

Concave is hard to show in a picture. Concave is about 6mm in the center and flattens out to flat about and inch or so before the edges. Concave also reduces to zero at about 200mm from each end

Similar size to this session but an 8m day as apposed to this vid its a 6m day.

Any way I build this mutant for days like this. So was really keen to see how it went. After some testing I've settled on the quad set up. It allows for faster turning on the wave face. The 3 fin thruster set up slows the turning down because the center fin is too far back from the back fin. The quad set up brings the fins close to the back foot for so it works better.

How did it go?

Fanfreakentastic!!!. On my old board I had to do big bottom turns. On this thing I can get as tight as I want. The small micro kick at the front is all that's needed to stop nose dive. I could get as steep as I wanted without fear of the nose digging in!.

A very epic session and very very pleased with the board. I have a new found confidence to go and smash big!!!! ye freaken ha!

Theres only one down side to this board. Its too stiff in the center section. It cuts through chop buttery smooth but if you jump and blast headlong into face then its a hard hit.
