No. It doesn't. An investment is putting money into an asset(foil) with the expectation of a return on investment (delivery) and hopefully appreciation (2 for1). Just "investing" doesn't mean you get anything for your money. Except maybe a confirmation email. Kind of like some late 90's era tech stock certificate. Generally all prudent investments are based on research. Just about any research in Mr C would have shown that he might not provide a good return on investment. So, to comfort or convince yourself you thought. " If one breaks, like of all of those online, I'll have another." Or "I'll sell the second and pay for my foil."

Bottom line is that you made an investment in a product that didn't yet exist. For that risk you were promised a second foil as a thank you for having skin in the game. Hopefully you didn't hedge this investment with startup of a new course racing board company. Otherwise I think you'll survive.

i disputed the charge with visa and got my money credited back yesterday. purchasing on jan 15th put me long past the 60 day windo. but i receiving a damaged and incomplete unit in june placeing me back in the 60 day window. i explained that this appeared to be a modified Ponzi scheme which generated a few more questions. I have never disputed a claim like this before so i don't know if it will stand. carafino has 60 days to PROVE he has shipped me everything he sold to me. he has now started pimping a 2015 board, shipping in august!

The threats aren't credible, you're not scared and neither is anyone else.
Internet threats from East Asia are not going to hurt you. Grow up, get over it.

As a sailor, you should realize you are begging to be sanctioned under Rule 69 by the RYA or any other bodies operating under the racing rules of sailing.
