Hey guys,
So I scheduled myself a kitesurfing sabbatical to Cabarete for a month starting next Monday. Anyone have any suggestions for things worth seeing, restaurants worth eating at, or useful local resources? I am staying on kitebeach so kitesurfing is straightforward, altho I hear of a river nearby that goes into Cabarete Bay which might be worthwhile to do as a freshwater kitesurf.
One thing I do not have is a list of places that will accept credit cards. Apparently all of Cabarete are tax cheats and most places will not take cards, so planning for that is an issue.
Another thing I need to find is some kind of business center with print/fax/copier facilities. My sabbatical is not entirely fun based and on non-wind days I will need to do some paper pushing type work.
Anyone familiar with Cabarete care to comment?

The river mouth is La Boca, look for it here:
www.splocs.com
Really good meat you can find at Alis Surf Camp.
Ask people for its location since it is hidden.
Good Sushi and Mexican food close to the Millenium hotel.
Good food at Lax in center at beach.
See you there mid of July!

Hi!
Check out my website kiteferie.com where I've written about both kiting in Cabarete, as well as where to stay, what to do etc. I stayed at Kite Beach for a whole month as well, loved it!
