... nice one! Very important to find out how it behaves when loaded up especially with heavy guys taking it to its upper limit, with all that canopy supported by only 3 struts and bridle, I have my concerns.

Thanks,

Robbie !! :D

We got out on Saturday with winds between 10-14mph with a few guys about 200. If you have any questions let us know. It looks like we have a few more windy days coming later in the week so we can test the top end. Stay tuned.

... Hey Curt,

can you see how the kite goes with slow board speeds, ie initial take off power. Can you compare how much static power does it have.

For example, say you gybed or done a transistion and you've slightly messed it up and maybe you've bogged down a bit, with a bit of a dive of the kite you pick up speed again and with some kites you can take off nicely, no sineing involved (eg Dyno 2011 18m) or some kites you need to sine alot just to to get going again. Can you compare this with other kites?

Thanks!!

Robbie :D
My 15 juice doesn't need a lot of sineing, it even puts up with when I time my carves horribly :P. The Juice does have some good static grunt but it really loves some apparent wind. That being said this is the first true light wind kite I've ridden, so the closest thing I have to compare is a rebel 14m.

Hi NorCalNomad,

I was considering purchasing either the 15m Juice or a 14m Rebel so interesting that you have ridden both. How do they compare. I like the idea of the Juice but can't help noticing the Rebel has a range of 10 to 24 knots (11.5mph to 27.6mph), compared to Juice's 9 to 17 (10.3mph to 19.5mph). So Rebel seems more versatile, and able to cope if wind picks up? but I guess being the largest size, may be slow ?

I'm looking for something that lets me go out in 12 to 14 mph winds more often. I currently have a Rebel 2010 11m.

First off, I have to apologize. I am stepping away from my position at the shop to look for a teaching job, so I have been pretty busy applying for jobs and interviews... Also I have my daughter for the summer which has eaten into my time even more.

With all that and waiting for a windy day to test the top end has delayed me much more than I wanted. I will get my last testimonial in the next day or so and will just put what I got together. Thanks for the patience.
