Some would put kiting above sex! The tour de france is way down the list if even in the conversation :motz:

Well it is essentially a bit of a piss take from the football versus kiting Considering how silly that post got...

But while we are here, yeh man the tour just blows my mind.

I used to road race in my early twenties, albeit at just club level, but road racing is just different degrees of pain. Whoever can hold their hands in the fire the longest wins.

Even at the low club level we were doing 250 to 350km a week just training, just to be competitive. And that was generally in B division...bahahahahahah (yeh I was shit :D ).

These guys on the tour are masters of pain!!!

Actually funny story...I was doing a 65km team time trial up north in 35 degrees C, near 100 percent humidity representing my university once. There was me and my mate chucky (two hacks) and a rider from the Australian institute of sport and another from the Western Australian Institute of sport. The idiots in the support car decided to go 5km up the rode as apparently some friends had an esky full of piss so they thought we will have a few then tack on once we passed.

Well 1km in the ride chucky gets a puncture doesn't he. Need three to finish, so it was me and these fucken pain animals...obviously I didn't take any turns, just straight off off the front, holding on for dear life, apparently they were eventually punching, kicking, pinching me just to stay awake ...my mind kind of went into some kind of coma as it think it didn't want to hear the screams of agony from my body.

Needless to say we crossed the finishing line and placed 2nd overall! Ambulance came...drip, etc etc...

Cycling equals pain. Give me kiting anyday!!!!

If you're married and your wife does not kite I would say this definitely applies...

As I said in the Football vs Kiting thread, the Tour is one of the few sporting events I still enjoy watching.
Go Lance! ....oh wait, what year is it?
Love the Tour.
