There is zero reasons other than aerodynamic efficiency to not want a one pump now.

Uh thanks for the constructive advice bro. I happen to have successfully repaired several one pump and standard inflation kites. Have fun pulling your bladders in a one pump when you're kiting a remote location with no opportunities for submersion testing or bladder soaping. Thanks but I'll take the simple standard inflation given the choice.

pump up the kite put some clothes pins on the one pump tubes. Note which strut goes flat. Inflate that strut again, soap the strut (don't pull the bladder yet). Note where the bubbles come from. Using a big sharpie or other marker, repeatedly mark the location of the hole. Make sure you ink it good. The ink will press through the fabric and leave a mark on the bladder. Pull the bladder and patch where the mark is.

The whole process doesn't take more than 5 minutes. You want the hole marked before you pull the bladder. I agree it is a pain if you start pulling bladders on a one pump before you know where the hole is especially if you start pulling bladders before you have isolated which strut it is.

also for those that find 3m 5200 aquaseal or the stick on valves fail, make sure that you lightly sand the bladder before resticking the valve and wipe it well with rubbing alcohol. There are a couple of reasons you want to sand it, the first is if baby powder has been used before it can get embedded in the bladder. sanding helps remove this coating, and the second reason is the sanding helps create a mechanical bond in addition to the chemical one. Make sure you thoroughly clean with rubbing alcohol. If there is left over glue or oil on the bladder it won't be clean enough to adhere. A fresh restick should last longer than the original valve, and while nothing is forever, a good restick should last another 5 or 6 years without failing.
