A bar that floats? - brilliant idea!

The new quick release on the chicken loop is also a return to common sense.

The designer isn't a great talker, but at least he imparts some interesting information. Would have liked him to elaborate further. Much better than the promo videos.

A strutless kite in the range. I hadn't noticed the Genesis before.

I still think the IDS was a good idea for a simple freeride bow kite with the right L/E shape - eg. the Crossbow type of kite.

The wind ranges on the Switchblade are the same for 10m and 11m. That doesn't sound right.
Also, all kites smaller than 10 have shifted to the left on the wind range chart...shape change (improvement) in the smaller sizes?

Interesting how Pat admits the 2013 Switchblade was a mistake in the designer notes video.

Quick price calc bar/line combo for Switchblades look like they have been raised 1.5%.
Here in Canada anyways...

New Alias, tri fin/quad strap seems in the right direction.

Siren line is gone. Low interest in female oriented kites?

Pump no longer standard/included, pay extra for a pump

Three options for the bar:
Adjustable for a list price of $569
or you can buy a fixed size 45 or 55 for list price of $439 <---- good option Cabrinha!

I assume a bag is included...but I can't find anywhere where is says definitively yes, bag included.
Some brands sell you the bag separate.

So, list price of 2014 12m Switchblade (with bar, bag, pump): $2108
list price of 2015 12m Switchblade: $2,118...add the pump and you have $2,166

The good thing is that you can get the kite, a fixed bar, no pump for $1,988

(prices from MacKiteboarding)
