I was thinking of throwing a nubster on it as a quad, anyone riding a thruster set up ?

Everything seems to work because of the shape of the board. When the wind is light or has a lot of holes in it i use my seaworthys. Otherwise ( bigger surf/good wind) i use my jordys. I dont recomend am2 quad. For some reason at high speed they cause a lot of drag.

I really don't think this board needs a quad setup. It's got so much speed as is. Felix rides his 5'2" with the V4 thrusters. I got the V6 thruster setup and it's a bit too much fin. Hard to turn unless you get WAY back on the tail and really stomp it. I replaced the sides with a couple small longboard sidebites and that loosened it up a bunch; No need to stomp the tail so hard anymore. Still rips upwind and holds really well on the rail, but I have blown out on some fast bottom turns and lip smacks.

I would start with a V4 thruster and see how it works for you.

i prefer it as a quad, love how fast it is, although when we get proper waves i will prob use a thruster, but for the usual mushy crap quad

Haven't tried that yet. Got a couple larger carbon fins that I'll try out next time we get some wind. Just have to sand out a bit of reef rash first. But hey, free fins.
