Has anyone tried/ or owns a Naish Trip ?

I am looking for a new light wind kite to replace my 14m ride I didn't get on with, I mainly ride strapless and the trip look really good on youtube for light winds, has anyone got any experience of it ?

I had a brief session on it and had a lot of fun. I was surprised at how good it was. I didn't get a chance to relaunch it. I did kiteloops and other moves and found no shortcomings.

Certainly. Because it is so light it stays in the air in the lightest wind conditions.

I tried the 2014 10 m Trip and thought it was a lot of fun. It seems like a strutless kite where the drawbacks of a strutless being less extreme, compared to my Cloud. Relaunched fine, you just have to recognize the nuances of relaunching a strutless. If I had the spare cash I would probably get one.

Guys I know fly it with a foil board down to 10-12 mph and up to near 20.

I spent a most fun afternoon with a 10m2 trip on 33 m lines on my foil in 10mphish wind and really enjoyed it.
I am not a Naish fan and was not sure about strutless at all.
Did not test relaunch.
If I traveled and had the cash I would buy one easy.

Thanks for your feedback I've never had a go on the trip but do fancy one. I've got 7 and a 10m park and can't decide between the 12m park or 12m Trip. I think I might get the park first as I know it will be good and save up for the trip as an extra.

IMO way too much overlap between a 10m Park vs 12m Park or Trip.

on the flip side...
I've been thinking of using the 8m trip as a mid range kite to compliment my 12m park.
(200lb rider, freeride style, surf'n wind waves in nw storm sessions)
Has anyone used these kites in 20 to 30?
Seems like a great kite for off the wind bump and jump
