The grasshopper Andy Hurdman, not sure if it's old school but his riding is smooth as silk. Mark Shinn and Dave Tyburski are another few favorites and a person from my Boost VHS that I can't find......it's probably Flash.

Yeah, love the good old times! Events were exciting to watch! We all were looking for any news regarding events and what was going on.
Just sad where the sport went now...
We should get more old videos online! Will be fun to watch, like those Lou Wainman videos added few weeks ahon on

Kiting really sucks right now for inspiring riding but u got someone like Martin Vari, a well rounded rider with skills in different areas. Dave Edwards for riding with a unique style, hooked in but really hard out.

Personally I like where the sport is now, those 2 line kites sucked! It was way too much of an adventure everytime you went out. Forget about staying upwind, one big gust and your hopelessly being pulled downwind. That is why I have so much respect for the original pioneers of the sport.
Now there are a lot more choices with twintip boards, surfboards, race boards and the latest fun boards (toned down race boards). And you can choose a kite to match your style of riding!

Tom Hebert does some pretty nice old school stuff too. I like the way he makes these tricks in extreme heights.

Yeh I got a soft spot for Tom H. Mainly because he doesn't do a whole lot, but it's smooth and powered and also he is a shit hot wakestyle rider to. He does it all and he does it well and doesn't have this strange wakestyle superiority complex..or worse directional riding superiority complex..wtf?
Kevin L is a superb kite handler/board controller what he does even I the old school style with that torch is extraordinary.

Dimitri is by far my fav, that dude is just mental (in a good way), The king (Robby Naish) seems like he sticks to the good old moves with MASSIVE airs.
But I would add Toby, not sure if all that airtime stuff is Old school, but seems like is all they used to do back in the days, and is freaking amazing.
